This is a somewhat unique sally bag. The design is all in dyed wool yarn, composed of alternating double rows of red and black triangles in a diagonal pattern going up and to the right. Some of the black has faded into a dark green color. The structure of the basket is excellent. There is some small and irregular loss of wool to moths but it is not obvious unless you are carefully examining the basket. The look and feeling of the basket is that of an old basket made for their own use.
